Welcome to WhereMoney. Your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains how we handle your data within the application.

1. Data Collection

WhereMoney is designed to be a local-first financial tool. Most data you enter remains on your device:

• Financial Data: Details of your assets, purchase prices, loan information, and repayment records are stored locally using Apple's Core Data.
• Usage Logs: "Check-in" data for asset usage is stored locally to calculate depreciation and breakeven progress.

2. Cloud Syncing

If you explicitly enable "iCloud Sync" or "Cloudflare Sync" in the settings:

• Your data will be encrypted and synchronized across your devices via Apple iCloud or our secure Cloudflare-based stack.
• We do not have access to your raw financial data on these platforms; it is tied to your personal accounts.

3. Subscription & Payments

All "Pro" subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store. WhereMoney does not collect or store your credit card details or personal identity. Apple provides us with anonymized transaction identifiers to verify your Pro status.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (including iOS Keychain) to protect sensitive identifiers and security settings on your device.

5. Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by removing the application or using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings. Since we do not maintain a central user database for free users, your data belongs entirely to you.
